The educational concept at the Montessori Children’s Centre in Frankfurt envisages the room itself receding into the background, since the focus is on the children and the materials they work with. A delicate colour design underlines the atmosphere in light pastel shades. Nothing is loud, brightly coloured or intrusive. The use of glazes makes the room feel even airier. Each group colour (red, yellow, blue) is dominant in the area designated for that group, though in a light shade that is offset by a contrasting colour. The nursery reflects balanced harmony, a place where young people can take great steps in the course of their own development. |
