Range of Services Range of Services

Housing estates, street fronts, schools, playschools, residential blocks and other architectonic properties form the object of our colour designs.

Requirements
Our external workforce accepts colour design orders during an on-site visit in which the boundary conditions are recorded. The following documentation is important for the development of an individual colour concept:

  • Photographic documentation of the property and its surroundings.
  • Facts about the building: style, year of construction, use, etc.
  • Material and colour-related details (e.g. natural stone which is to be retained).
  • Elevations, plans and layouts or CAD drawings on a disk.

Depending on the size and complexity of the property we offer you:

  • For smaller properties: Direct consultancy on site with colour selection on the property.
  • For interiors and complex building structures: Property survey and consultation on site with a designer.

In the studio the gathered documentation is evaluated based on a building or room structural considerations. In contact with the building owner, architect or customer open questions are clarified and possible directions and specific desires discussed.

Technology

For a realistic representation the original plans or photographs are scanned in and the most important parts of the building redrawn by specialist assistants (using Adobe Photoshop). The two-dimensional representation assumes a sculptured form due to light and shade effects.

Once the draft design is finished, the areas in the drawing are filled with the appropriate colour shades and printed out true to colour with the aid of specially calibrated inkjet printers.
Draft design
The individual elaboration of the suggested colour scheme occurs as a type of collage under consideration of the above mentioned assumptions using colour toning cards and original paint samples by our architects, colour designers and interior designers.

The objective of the drafting work is always to obtain a design related to the architecture and not one that is purely decorative.

The selection of the colour shade is carried out through the use of daylight illumination under constant conditions. For the interior a light simulation ceiling is used with which the change of the colour shades at different lighting temperatures can be determined. With the design of the facade the effect of the colour shade on the property can be estimated based on empirical figures and lightness values.

Depending on the scope and complexity of the order volume, up to two draft designs are produced and visualised (1-2 views). Collages and sample boards can also be produced for interior designs. Furthermore, the customer receives a written concept explaining the colour design.
Customer requirements

On request we can also visualise our customers' design ideas. To do this, we need a complete list of all building elements with the selected colour shades.

Time required, presentation, dispatch

Depending on the property 2-4 weeks should be allowed for the elaboration of an individual colour concept.
