The Nespri-TEC System is a completely new concept for coating facades. With this system it is now possible to apply a specially formulated paint using the airless method without the problem of spray mist on surfaces:

That saves time and labour costs and the rate of coverage is noticeably increased. Until now only a fraction of the facade paint used annually has been quickly and efficiently applied by machine - experts estimate the proportion applied by spraying to be just three percent. The reason for this is that when paint is sprayed a mist is produced which, to an extent varying with the wind and ambient conditions, covers an area around the facade to be coated. Parked cars, adjacent buildings, lamps, trees, hedges, vegetable patches, paths: All are affected by the spray mist - or they must be covered, which is then time consuming.

In the Nespri co-operative project with partners from research, industry and trade and promoted by the Federal Ministry for Economics and Technology, it has been possible to "track down" the phenomena of the spray mist. Spray mist arises through the formation of droplets during airless atomisation. Here, the smallest of droplets in the spray mist are the real culprits. After extensive investigations it has been possible to significantly reduce the proportion of fine droplets in the special coating, practically eliminating the spray mist. This was made possible by recently developed, exactly matched components: The AmphiSilan Special Coating in Nespri-TEC formulation from Caparol and the Nespray airless equipment from Wagner. The basis of the special coating is the high quality silicone resin facade paint, AmphiSilan from Caparol. AmphiSilan excels due to its optimum physical characteristics. The paint includes the Caparol Clean Concept® and is therefore also particularly resistant to soiling.

Nespri® Fixx has been specially developed for efficient interior application. The interior paint with Wet Abrasion Class 3 is characterised by excellent working properties, high covering capacity and is very good when repairs are needed.

Special features of the Nespray airless unit are the diaphragm pump technology for uniform, powerful delivery of the paint and a heated high pressure hose which provides a constant working temperature. Furthermore, a newly developed double nozzle ensures a mist-free application of the material. For the application, a team of two to three people achieve the best results. The special coating is first applied using the low-mist airless method, then immediately rolled and spread out evenly. A special plus: The Nespri-TEC System does not just offer advantages when working over large areas. It is also ideal for edging work: With the overspray-free spray jet, an exact spraying of border areas is possible with the minimum of masking off.

The Nespri-TEC System has been successfully tested in practice throughout Germany. The results are impressive, as are the commercial advantages for the decorating trade. For the first time an innovative coating method for facades with high added value is available to the trade - now also awarded the "Federal Prize 2005 for excellent work in innovation benefiting the trade".
