For many years now, the name of Caparol has been synonymous with top quality and pioneering product research. The reaffirmation and continuation of this position is a tradition at Caparol. For the owners ? chemists through generations ? the fields of research, development and application technology play a special role.

Generously equipped with the latest laboratory devices and analytical instruments, the researchers can realise their innovative ideas to make sure that, with its products and systems, Caparol remains right at the front of technical progress. All product developments are thoroughly tested in a type of "torture chamber" under extreme climatic conditions such as heat, frost, steam and condensation. It is only when it can be guaranteed that all quality parameters are clearly above the requirement level that the new products receive clearance for large-scale production.

Special emphasis in research here are innovative, environmentally friendly and non-noxious products. For example, as a pioneering company Caparol introduced some years ago the quality grade "E.S.F" (emission-minimised and solvent-free) in the field of water-thinnable environmentally friendly building paints. During drying, these non-odiferous paints emit neither solvent, plasticizer nor any other harmful substance. And Caparol continues to set the benchmarks in this field.

"Caparol Sensitiv" is the first dispersion paint without preservatives ? and therefore also suitable for persons prone to allergies. Since September 2003 the premium interior paint Indeko-Plus bears as the first interior paint on the market the TÜV/WKI test seal "pollutant tested" and fulfils all stipulations with regard to health and environmental protection according to the current state of science and technology. In the meantime, apart from Indeko-Plus, a range of other Caparol interior paints have also been certified as "pollutant tested".
